Onderstroom / Undercurrent

De 'rengay' is een moderne westerse variant op de Japanse renga of renku. Het is een kettinggedicht bestaande uit 6 strofen van afwisselend 3 en 2 regels, die door de dichters om en om geschreven worden. Telkens staat één thema centraal. Elke rengay in deze nieuwe en tweetalige bundel wordt bovendien verrassend aangevuld met een foto.

Bouwe en Marleen zijn allebei enthousiaste haikuliefhebbers, en schrijven sinds een paar jaren ook regelmatig gezamenlijk. De rengay inspireert hen beiden. 'Onderstroom' is het resultaat van deze samenwerking.

The 'rengay' is a contemporary Western version of the Japanese renga or renku. It is a collection of 6 haiku-like links, written alternatively by the writers. Each rengay is based on one theme.
Furthermore, in this new and bilingual book each rengay has been surprisingly completed with a photograph.

Both Bouwe and Marleen are enthusiastic about haiku, and since several years enjoy writing together as well. The rengay inspires them both. 'Undercurrent' is the result of this collaboration.
